If Firespring does not host your DNS, follow these steps to set up TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for each domain you would like to verify. Ensure the DNS settings match these values provided below and be sure to save each record as you add them. 1. Contact your Onboarding team member or our Client Success Team to get a unique verification TXT record that'll need to be added to your DNS. 2. Open your DNS settings. Log into the administrative console for your domain. Locate the page from which you manage your DNS records. Depending on your provider, this may be called Zone File Settings, DNS Manager, or something else similar, and you may need to enable the advanced setting. 3. Create a TXT record * Type or Record Type: TXT or TXT Record or Text * Alias, Host, or Host Name: @ * Copy and paste the unique verification code provided by your Onboarding team member or Client Success Team for Value: * Save the record. 4. Create a TXT record to set up SPF * Type or Record Type: TXT or TXT Record or Text * Alias, Host, or Host Name: @ * Value: v=spf1 include:_spf.firespring.com ~all * TTL: 300 seconds - 30 minutes * Save the record. NOTE: If your domain's DNS already has an SPF record, edit the existing SPF to include: “include:_spf.firespring.com” (without the quotes) just before the ~all argument. To authorize an additional mail server, add the server's IP address just before the ~all argument using the format ip4:address or ip6:address. Work with your email service provider to ensure you are correctly including and formatting all relevant email hosting IP addresses for your organization. Failure to do so can result in your regular email not being delivered. 5. Create two CNAME records to set up DKIM Add the first CNAME * Type or Record Type: CNAME * Alias, Host, or Host Name: mte1._domainkey.yourdomain.com * Value: dkim1.mandrillapp.com * TTL: 300 seconds - 30 minutes * Save the record. Add the second CNAME * Type or Record Type: CNAME * Alias, Host, or Host Name: mte2._domainkey.yourdomain.com * Value: dkim2.mandrillapp.com * TTL: 300 seconds - 30 minutes * Save the record. 6. Create a TXT record to set up DMARC. Note - If any DMARC record is already present, you may skip this step as only 1 DMARC record is necessary. * Type or Record Type: TXT or TXT Record or Text * Alias, Host, or Host Name: _dmarc.yourdomain.com * Value: v=DMARC1; p=none; * TTL: 300 seconds - 30 minutes * Save the record. 7. Verify. Contact your Onboarding team member or our Client Success Team who will verify that your TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records have been set up correctly and we will complete the final step in order to update your verified domain(s) in the Springboard.
